Choose what goes in a saved PDF
Save PDF now asks what the file should hold before it prints: defects, questions or both, and which schedules — grouped by discipline, or one table at a time — so the copy you forward to a consultant covers their part of the set. Questions print in full, each element with what is missing and the action needed, grouped under its schedule. A PDF that leaves anything out says so at the top and names the schedules it covers.

Coverage in one place, at the top
Everything a run didn’t check is now a single panel above your findings, starting with how many schedules were audited in full. Open it for the detail: which schedules came back partial, which divisions have no rule set yet, and which sheets couldn’t be read. It’s deliberately quiet — strong colour on this report is for the defects in your set, not for the gaps in ours.

Upload a manual in as many volumes as it has
Your project manual can go up as several PDFs. They are indexed as one specification, so a mechanical schedule finds the mechanical volume instead of only what was in Volume 1. A file that isn’t specification text — a bid form, a geotechnical report — is refused by name at upload rather than indexed as if it were.

Hardware strings checked against each other
Nudgy compares the hardware model strings on a sheet against their own siblings — same manufacturer, same category — and asks about the one that is missing a code all the others carry. It never guesses what the differing code designates, and never raises the question above a warning: specifying one opening differently from its neighbours is allowed, so this is a question for you rather than a defect.

A walkthrough of how to read a report
How to read this, in the report header, opens a short guided tour: what each severity means, what the coverage panel is telling you, how to reach the spec text behind a citation, and the difference between ignoring a finding and marking it wrong. Each step waits until you have done the thing it describes. It teaches on a worked example, so the whole lesson is there even when your own report has no warnings in it. It also opens itself once, the first time you watch an audit finish.

Defects and questions, counted separately
Findings that assert something is wrong now sit apart from questions the documents cannot settle. The tiles count what is actually in front of you, so a question like confirm this is a wet location no longer inflates your defect count. And where one underlying problem was reported against many elements, it folds into a single row that says how many it covers.

The same set is not audited twice
Re-upload a drawing set you have already audited and Nudgy recognises it — on name and size at upload, then on a fingerprint of the extracted tables before any model call — and points you at the earlier report instead of charging for a second copy of it. A re-export that changes every byte but no content is still caught. Audit anyway is always there if you want the run.

Progress while your sheets are being read
Reading the tables out of a large set takes minutes, and a run used to look stalled for all of it. You now see sheets read against sheets total while that happens, and it switches to schedules audited as soon as there is a schedule count.

Every finding says why it applies
Findings now show the value in the scheduled row that makes the cited spec clause govern that element — in the report and in the PDF. It is the fastest way to confirm a finding is right, because a wrong finding is usually wrong about whether the requirement applied, not about the requirement. Two findings raised on the same element are merged into one and marked as merged, a finding that contradicts itself no longer counts as a conflict, and repeat runs over the same drawing set are more consistent with each other.

Every schedule accounted for
The report now accounts for every schedule Nudgy found on your drawings, not just the audited ones. Schedules in a division with no rule set are listed as out of scope, and any schedule that failed or was cut short is flagged as incomplete. If a report comes back clean, you can see it is clean because everything was checked — not because something dropped out of the count.

Built for full-size projects
Spec and drawing uploads go up to 1 GB, so a full set of vector sheets uploads as one file. Long specification manuals index completely — including the ones whose repeating page headers and footers previously confused section detection — dense schedules can return far more findings without being cut off, and the audit now reads every spec section in the divisions a schedule touches instead of a narrow sample of the manual.

Tell us when a finding is wrong
Mark any individual finding as wrong — separate from dismissing it, which stays a triage action for issues you have reviewed or accepted. A wrong finding comes to us with the run, the schedule, and the cited spec section attached, so we can see exactly what produced it. There is also a feedback button on the report for anything broader.

Millwork and casework schedules
Architectural woodwork is audited too, bringing coverage to 19 schedule types across 16 CSI divisions. Nudgy checks panel core against the moisture conditions of the room, laminate grade against horizontal or vertical use, countertop material against chemical, food-service, or standard use, fire-retardant treatment where the spec requires a rated interior finish, and counter heights on items marked barrier-free.

Where a requirement differs between Canada and the U.S., audits cite your spec first — and where the spec is silent on a Canadian project, the item is flagged for verification against the Canadian standard (NBC, CSA, CAN/ULC, NECB) instead of asserting a conflict against a U.S. figure that does not apply. Spec sections that reference Canadian standards are found on their own terms, and metric quantities are read as written rather than silently converted.

Export a report as PDF or CSV
Take any report out of Nudgy. The PDF prints the whole run with severity shown in colour and a section per schedule, with Division 01 set apart as the project-wide reference it is. The CSV gives one row per open issue for your own tracker or RFI log — dismissed findings are included and marked, never dropped.

Nudgy finds the relevant sections, reads them, and answers with the section numbers it used — and you can open that section text right beside the answer rather than taking the answer on faith.
